Human rights are inborn rights which are inalienable and universal. Basic idea is that all people are born equal.

Trafficking in human beings is in practice observed as the problem of organized crime, illegal migrations and public order violation, and, it is rarely viewed in the context of the violation of human rights.

Trafficking in women is the most extreme form of the violation of women’s rights. Victims suffer complex psychological and physical trauma, which, unfortunately, do not end when they escape from the trafficking chain. Rare are the efforts to recognize human trafficking as a violence issue. Trafficked victims suffer multiple forms of violence and torture: psychological, psychical, sexual. Institutions often do not treat the rape of trafficked victims the same as the rape of “regular” women, because trafficked victims are equalized with prostitutes, and alleged rapes are considered to be an occupational hazard.

Human rights, inter alia, include:

• Right to freedom and security of person

• Right of movement and choice of residence

• Prohibition of torture, and cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment and punishment

• Right to health

• Right to education

• Right to work, working hour and protection at work

• Right to social security
